Getting to Scotland Island

Scotland Island, located on Pittwater in Sydney’s Northern Beaches region one of Sydney’s few ‘water access only’ communities. That means boat access only!

The information below will assist you in planning an enjoyable day out, especially if you plan to attend either of the larger events of Fair Day and the H2O-360 Film Festival.

PARKING
Allow plenty of time to park and arrive at the Church Point wharf. It is highly recommended to use the park and ride arrangements for the Fair Day and H2O 360 Film Event

Park & Ride

Park and ride on Scotland Island Fair Day Sat Oct 28th
Park at Pittwater High School, Mona St, Mona Vale $2/car.
Catch special event shuttle bus transporting visitors to Church Point every 15 minutes. Shuttle bus operating from 10am to 9pm.
Cost $1/person return

H2O-360 Open Air Short Film Event Sat Nov 4th
Park at Kitchener Park, 1610 Pittwater Road, Mona Vale and Rowland Reserve, Pittwater Rd Bayview.
Catch special event shuttle bus transporting visitors to Church Point every 15 minutes. Shuttle bus operating from 4.30pm to 10.30pm
Cost $1/person return

ISLAND TRANSFERS
All ferries departing Church Point Public Wharf.

Scotland Island Fair day- ferry services will be operating at full capacity transporting visitors from Church Point to Scotland Island and return from 8.30am to 8.30pm.

H2O-360 Film Festival – ferry services will be operating from 4.30pm – 10.00pm.Ferry Timetable & Costs (see regular timetable) - departing Church Point every hour on the half hour. Additional ferry departures are planned for both Fair Day and H2O-360 Film Festival.

Cost: Adults $10 return, Child $5 return

Pink Water Taxis– water taxis can be booked on all days except The Scotland Island Fair Day. On Fair day, Pink Water Taxis will work to a taxi style queuing system (no bookings).

For other festival events call Pink Water taxis on 0428 238 190 24/7 anywhere in Pittwater.

Costs: Taxi costs – Church Point to Tennis Wharf $20 one way (max six passengers / fares vary depending on place of pick-up)

 

CAPACITY LIMITATIONS – Scotland Island Fair Day
A ceiling to the number of visitors has been negotiated as part of the festival license to ensure that all fair day visitors have an enjoyable experience. If there is a need to apply the capacity restrictions, then this will be communicated via festival volunteers at the parking stations and at the Church Point ferry departure wharf. Avoid disappointment – arrive early.
