Saturday 28th October
The Scotland Island Fair has been celebrated for over 20 year’s and our community invites you to join the fun.
Come travel with us on the “Adventures of Little Finger” with international storyteller Katherine McLeod. Be transported by the magical Maori voices of He Iwi Kotahi Tatou. Meet Scotland Island’s oldest living treasure, ballet teacher Trudi Engler and be enchanted by her young ballerinas.
Famous for our artists and writers we are also well known for our dogs! Help us celebrate The Year of The Dog and register your best friend at The Best Show Dog Competition (register your dog at the Welcome Desk).
Visit the workshops and pick up hot tips from Blues guitarist Matt Trapnell. Create Cook Island warrior headdresses, paper lanterns, toy boats, or learn marine knots.
Wander the market stalls, enjoy a picnic lunch and then put on your dancing shoes.
Shake your thing with Blues guitarist and harmonica freak Matt Trapnell. We’ll get funky with The Mitch Grainger Band, and then it’s Country with a twist and Blues with a twang with Cyndi Boste and her band. Kick up some dirt as we holler and yihaah to the hillbilly funk of The Pigs.
Then by lantern light we bid you farewell with fiery sculptures, island voices and the drumming of Badu Gura.
Scotland Island is a water access community and there are no retail outlets or ATMs. For your comfort wear sunscreen, a hat and comfortable walking shoes and bring drinking water.
Ferries will run from 8.30am - 8.30pm from Church Point.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
Please respect the island environment during your stay and have a great day at the Scotland Island Fair.
